Meditation is being practiced from years. It is considered an ancient practice. It is basically focusing the mind on a particular thing or a particular thought. In West, it is broadly categorized: focused meditation and open monitoring meditation.

Open monitoring methods include mindfulness, shikantanza and awareness states.
Transcendental meditation is a kind of no thought meditation, where a practitioner is fully alert of his surrounding, and has control over it's faculties, without any wasteful thought.

meditation music, meditation guides, etc. There are many of the products available are the markets like meditation cushion, meditation pillow, meditation books, meditation gifts, meditation bowl, meditation bell, meditation candles, meditation bench, and tons of other products. I would not like to advice any of the viewer to use those products or services because I don't think that any of them will work according to expectations. The natural way of doing it will be the most result showing and progressive way of getting to a admirable level.
